Chess Club is an extracurricular school activity designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy competition against their peers while experiencing healthy competition and team spirit. Chess is used to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. While the students will have the chance to track their progress and to compete in chess matches, our main focus will be to encourage learning, sportsmanship, and fun.

- Chess club meets every other Wednesday from 3:05- 4:15 in Mr. Watts's room.
- A reminder notice will be sent to parents.
- Club dues are $30.00 which will cover the cost of a T-shirt and entry fee for local competitions.
